Pure Tungsten Rods

Tungsten rods are with excellent heat resistance, high hardness, good thermion emission.

They can be used as electrodes for TIG welding, lighting electrodes, semiconductor parts, high temperature furnace parts, probe pins and high-reliability diodes, etc.

We make tungsten rods from powder to finished rods. They are produced under very strict process control and quality control.

We produce different diameters and different lengths based on customers’ requirements.  Based on different application requirement, we offer sintered rods and also swaged rods. Surface can be various too. We supply three surfaces for choices: Black, cleaned, and ground.

Pure Tungsten electrodes for TIG welding AWS A5.12 EWP, ISO 6848 WP

Pure tungsten electrodes are marked with green color in one end with tungsten over 99.95%. They provide good arc stability when using AC current, with either balanced wave or unbalanced wave and continuous high-frequency stabilization.

Pure tungsten electrodes are preferred for AC sine wave welding of aluminum and magnesium because they provide good arc stability with both argon and helium shielding gas.

Tolerances of Tungsten Electrode

The pure tungsten electrode easily forms a balled end but has a tendency to spit at higher currents and this should be considered when making critical welds.
